About OG Fudging Delicious
Every good obsession starts somewhere. Ours just happened to involve fudge.
In 2011, as my husband and I prepared to welcome our first baby, excitement arrived alongside one very specific pregnancy craving - the need for the perfect fudge.
Not just any fudge. The kind with the right texture, the right richness, and the sort of luxury that makes you close your eyes for a second because sharing suddenly feels unreasonable.
We searched everywhere, from northern New South Wales to far north Queensland, tasting our way through shops, roadside stops, and every recommendation that promised the good stuff. Some came close. Some were hopeful. None were quite right.
So naturally, I took matters into my own hands.
Somewhere between recipe books, internet searches, and batches that taught me humility, I discovered something I had never really paid much attention to before, fudge is science. Tiny changes in temperature, ingredients, ratios and timing can take you from average to unforgettable very quickly. Once I understood that, the process became less about following recipes and more about mastering them.
The first batch that truly worked was, if I’m honest, probably too good to share. In fact, I’m fairly certain it set… and I ate it.
But it also sparked something bigger, the idea that fudge did not have to stay in the ordinary lane. With the science of exceptional fudge and a lifelong habit of choosing dessert first, a new category quietly began to form: dessert-inspired fudge designed to feel rich, memorable and worth craving.
What began as one very determined craving soon turned into a business, and for nearly two years Fudging Delicious made its way into gift boxes, kitchens and plenty of people’s regular excuses for just one more piece.
Then life shifted. Work returned, early childhood education became my full-time world, and fudge stepped quietly aside for a while.
Years later, with that first baby now fourteen, he casually said, “Mum, I could really use some great fudge.”
Honestly, that was all the encouragement needed.
So here we are again - Sam, the baby who started it all, now old enough to request the comeback, and me in a new chapter bringing back the original idea that began all those years ago: that fudge can be more than expected.
Now handcrafted in Brisbane, OG Fudging Delicious continues with the same belief but, with some new ideas - small batch originals and our new Dessert Squares, hard to forget, and still slightly difficult to share.
